Last night my wife and i decided to head out to walk part of the North downs Way , we had never been before so we were not sure what to expect. We parked up along the Old Dover road by the Clifftop Cafe and made our way through their car park and onto the pathway. We walked towards Capel-le-Ferne . The path is narrow and at times close to the unprotected clifftop, its not somewhere you would want to take children in my opinion. I was hoping to see some open fields with rolling hills and trees during sunset but unfortunately this section was not like that at all.
We walked for a while and came across this great memorial called Battle of Britain Memorial, at Capel-le-Fern , well worth a visit if you are passing. We had left it a little late so the sun was already setting by the time we arrived , my wife noticed the sun was setting behind this Spitfire and shinning through the cockpit , which i think makes for a very thought provoking image.
Think it just highlights i need to do more location scouting during the day so i have a list of places i would to photograph at sunset or sunrise as heading out on a whim and hoping does not always work out. So for that reason it was not a complete waste of time
