Day 3 of our trip we decided to drive the hour and a half journey into the Lake District. We headed for Windermere , found a car park and headed to the lake. We made our way back up into town for something to eat and drink before deciding to drive into Grasmere.
We have been to the lake district on several occasions and have climbed some of the larger peaks over the years so was nice to go back , still one of my favorite places The Lakes.
We managed to find this little gem of a shop that occupies an old school building. Sarah Nelsons Grasmere Gingerbread, and as claimed is probably the best in the world. The shop is tiny just big enough to get two or three people in and at the counter waiting to be served while everyone else has to queue outside the shop, but well worth the wait.
