Took a drive out to a place called Pineham which is around the Whitfield and Dover area of Kent. I had driven down earlier in the week to find out where the location was and parking , stuff like that so i had a good idea of what to expect. What i did not expect was just how difficult it would be to get a good well balanced composition, it proved really tricky.
I arrived about and hour and twenty mins before sunset and on arrival the little bit of parking there was , was all taken , seems this place was going to be popular tonight. Managed to park a little further down the road and walked back to the field. There was a group of maybe half a dozen photographers who i spoke to briefly who were just finishing up and leaving anyway. So i made my way around the edge of the field trying to find a composition. The first image i got was something new to me, something called ICM, which stands for Intentional Camera Movement. Its where you move the camera during the exposure time to create something a little more abstract.
This was a 1.3 second exposure at F/5.6 iso 100. On a tripod and during the exposure i zoomed out creating this zoom effect. Not sure if i am a fan or not really !
After walking around for a while the sun was getting lower and made for some tricky lighting but managed to get a couple of images i like, not award winning but pretty solid shots i think.
Still a enjoyable evening in lovely surroundings, you can watch the vlog below please feel free to like and subscribe and if you wish share the link.
