I have really been struggling with a slump in my photography, i had no enthusiasm to get out and found it a real struggle. Tonight i decided i had to get out and shoot, i gathered all my gear, jumped in the car and headed out to capture Sunset at Margate, Kent.
I parked a few streets away and walked down to the seafront and thus avoided any car parking charges.
I walked along the seafront and down to the Harbour arm. This has become a nice location with a few local businesses popping up along the arm itself, including Bars, Cafes and even a Gallery. The sun was setting behind me when i took the image above and below , which shows all the warm tones of the setting sun giving some lovely soft warm light.
From here i decided to shoot the setting sun from the Kings Stairs along the seafront at Margate. Its a great spot to shoot from this time of year, or like many others sit , relax and just enjoy the sunset view across the beach
Shame there was a bank of cloud along the horizon as it could have been epic. Still glad i got out and made the effort. Sometimes you do get stuck in a creative rut and just need to find a way to push through it. Even if that does mean taking a break for a while and getting out in your own time.. I also produced a Vlog on the trip which you can see below.
